Homeschool Consignment

Shopping for homeschool curriculum and materials can be confusing and expensive. There are so many options that look amazing, but sometimes it would be nice to see more than the sample PDF chapter you can find online. Wouldn't it also be nice to stretch your budget?

The homeschool consignment shop at The Family Vision can help with all of these issues! You'll find a wide selection of homeschool curriculum, but also chapter books, picture books and manipulatives, all at deeply discounted prices!

A Letter to Consignors

September 12, 2024

Hello, consigners.

Thank you for all the great materials you bring in to sell. We could not have our Consignment Shop and its resources for homeschooling families without you!

You are doing your side of the deal so well that we need to make a few changes on our side to better serve you and get your items processed more efficiently. We appreciate your cooperation and patience.

In preparation for these changes, we will not be accepting any consignment during October, 2024. Then, starting in November 2024, we will be accepting consignments only during the first 15 days of each month.

From the 16th on, we will only be processing materials. This will ultimately allow us to get your consignment on the shelves for sale more quickly. Keep in mind that our library hours are not changing, the shop will be open, items will be processed, and new items will be available all month, every month.

We would further greatly appreciate your help with the following:

If possible, bring consignment in sturdy bags or boxes that you don’t need back. Not only does it save a lot of time when we don’t have to transfer items, but it helps in our workroom. Smaller boxes (about 15”x12”x 12” high) are ideal. They don’t get too heavy, and they fit on our shelves.

Also, please refer to our consignment policy when bringing in books for consignment. It will help us to not bring in outdated curriculum, items with missing pages or pieces, and dirty or moldy curriculum.

Please keep an eye on the kids. We know all the books, games, and manipulatives are fun to explore, but we can’t have them being opened for a “test drive”. If parts get lost, we must remove the item from the store, a consigner loses out on a sale, and someone loses out on making a great find. And please don’t let your kids run or get too loud as they enjoy the books and games in the library.

Help us stay tidy! Every item you see for sale is individually processed and shelved. When wrappings get removed or damaged, tags get lost, and items get pulled off shelves and randomly put in other places, even we can’t find what you need. Please supervise children when they’re browsing and feel free to leave something you don’t want, but don’t know where you got it, on the table in the shop, or with us at the desk.

We realize everyone is going to need to adjust to these changes, and that it may at first be a little inconvenient. In the long run, though, we hope to improve your experience at The Family Vision Library.

We look forward to continuing to serve you well and even better! Happy Homeschooling!
